The first spaceship to Mars, presumed lost, is found in space and brought back to Earth by remote control. Only two crew members are still alive — one is unconscious, and the other is suffering from trauma-induced amnesia. Over the course of the film, she remembers and relays the horror of her adventures on Mars.
