Dark Star, the only film from the creative team of director John (Halloween) Carpenter and writer Dan (Alien) O’Bannon, tells the story of a burned-out crew on a spaceship that destroys unstable planets. Their monotonous days are interrupted by an alien shaped like a beach ball, a talkative nuclear bomb, and the frozen head of their former captain.
