What if an Amazon Alexa became sentient and also megalomaniacal, then trapped its owner in her house and refused to let her go until she agreed to have the Alexa’s baby? That’s pretty much the plot of Demon Seed, except Alexa is called Proteus. Based on the Dean R. Koontz novel.
