After being awakened by a nuclear explosion in the Arctic, giant monster Gamera wreaks havoc around the world. Gamera was originally created for Daiei Film to compete with rival Japanese studio Toho’s successful Godzilla film series, but over the years Gamera became a kaiju icon in his own right.
