A clever reinvention of both the zombie film, the outbreak film, and the anthology film. The Signal is a single narrative broken into three distinct chapters made by three different filmmakers, all focusing on three people dealing with the aftermath of a strange electronic signal that drives people insane after they witness it. Lead actor Justin Welborn is a fantastic performer who would later pop up on FX’s Justified TV series.
